June 25, 2011 - Upstate VW Bug Run #2
Greenville, South Carolina

This is the 2nd Upstate VW Bug Run. We will be meeting in the Ingles parking lot at Cherrydale Point on Saturday, June 25 at 10am and will be leaving no later than 10:30am. We will be traveling up to Hwy 11 and then taking 178 through Rosman, NC. While in Rosman we will make a stop at Brew Bus and then we will travel down the road to Brevard, NC for lunch and a little shopping. After we leave we will travel back through Penrose and Flat Rock for some nice scenery as well as down through the Greenville Watershed. It will be a fun day of driving on some really nice twisty roads.

For more info please call: 864-561-1632 or email at Nvisigod@yahoo.com.

Please RSVP by June 23rd so we will have at least some idea of how many people will be making the run with us.

It seems to me, this is a air-cooled event. I might drive by and look at some of the cars. I'm off that days, so what the heck, I might meet some new folks. Too bad I never finished my air-cooled VW's, I could of went for a ride with them.

Oh air-cooled?
We'll if it wasn't more air-cooled It would be worth driving a couple hours to join. I am in love with the Greenville area.

We went ahead & joined this VW Owners Club. Looks like several GTG's are planned in & around the Upstate area throughout the year.

Later,

So, you're saying they allow H2O Beetles?

I emailed them and they didst specify whether it was air or water cooled. They just said both are welcome and that they didn't discriminate.

Website states that it's a VW Car Club. I didn't see anywhere on the site that only specific VW types were allowed. If the car has a VW logo on it, you can belong.

Well, in that case, I'll have to stop by if it's not raining.

Wife is scheduled to work that day, so may not make it to this run. We love doing these together and I hate to go without her.

We just took a drive this past weekend up to Bryson City, NC in our XFire. We absolutely love this town!

Had a great lunch at the Cork and Bean Coffee House & Wine Bar. Then followed that up with ice cream at Soda Pop's Ice Cream Parlor. We had a great time.
