Default Our Regrets........

Michelle,

Nurse Diesel and I are going to have to bow out of the Georgia Stone Mtn. GTG. With all that is going on down here in Jax with us I just don't think we can swing it time and money wise. We are saving as much as possible for our first TOD and it's also going to run us over $500.00 for the pig alone for my birthday party.

Wish we could make it. I have never been to that hunk of rock before. Flown over it dozens of times, but the Delta pilot just wouldn't get close enough let alone land on it for me.

I'm sure you guys will have an awesome time. We simply can't swing this one.

Thanks

Chuckie & Nurse Diesel

Saturday 25, 2012...check
VW GTG.......check
Big Rock close to home....check!

Brandy will be in Kansas City at a church related conference, but Aphid & I are looking forward to it. As long as I make it to Hartsfield around 8 PM to pick her up, I'm in!

Technically its my gf's beetle but im the car fanatic and the customizer so we both will be attending our first GA NB GtG. Can't wait to meet all that attend. Haven't been to stone mountain in quite awhile either.

Sent from my Droid3 using my Droid3 and looking at my Droid3....oh and I used an autoguide app

Awesome so glad that it'll be your first gtg. I love having new folks!

No worries, you can leave whenever you need to. Sad to hear that Brandy won't be able to make it but we'll allow you to leave with just enough time to pick her up at the airport.

Chuckie, sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it, but I understand. I'd rather you come to TOD if you have to choose between the two. Looking forward to seeing you then though!

Like I said guys, I'm gonna roam the area this weekend (if I get time) and find a good lunch spot. If the weather is too old which is a possibility cause this winter has been odd and no snow as of yet, we will find something else to do instead.

This is shaping up to be a great kick start to the gtg season!!

Yeah, I think this might be winters last sneeze for the 2011/2012 season. Hoping for great weather for the GtG.

Just in... Gotta replace one of Cup's tires.... budget just got tighter, but still hoping to make the trip! I'm amp'd for this

Sorry to hear that Al. I have to get all new tires for the 18's at some point but I'm rocking the steelies right now. Try Craigslist for tires. Sometimes you can find some kick butt deals on slightly used tires and sometimes you can find brand new ones too. I just usually search the tire size I'm looking for.

If the weather's good here in Okla. there maybe a couple of Okies heading down through Ga. I need to get out of okla. for awhile and see some Beetles. A short 900 mile trip down that way then back thru Louisiana and see my buddy SilversportNola in Nawlins

Nice! Would be really great to have ya! If you like road trips a gtg is a great excuse for one.

My chances of The Ga GtG have dwindled. Cup needs a new tire, and I thought I still could make it albeit the expense. Come to find out, She needs tie rod ends, and she's waaaay overdue to get her struts replaced- she's shaking slightly at high speeds and needs a good alignment. So sadly, it's looking like team Cup will be a no show for the GA GtG

still there's ToD....WOOT!

not good, we were looking forward to seeing you two. I guess we'll have to wait alittle longer. FYI for about the cost of new struts you can almost get a set of coil overs

Michelle - My family and I are considering making the drive from Knoxville to Stone Mountain to join y'all. If that's ok...

It'll be about a 3+ hour drive for us - and the only thing that doesn't have us 'all in' is that we MUST be at church the following Sunday at our 8:45 service because we are 'greeters'. What time is the G2G starting?

My kids would LOVE Stone Mountain - and I've not been in YEARS.

Hmmm, now those look pretty tasty mang.

Dunno if I can do both front and back simultaneously, or going with coilovers- I really want to though. Money is tight. If some kinda way I can pull a rabbit out of the hat, I'll grab the set- we'll see what happens.

Gotta getter dun before ToD that's for sure.

If we didn't still have $300 in sensors to order for herbie I'd be ordering a set for him...
