How to close hood w/new hood bra

So, I've had my new Crawler style hood bra for about a month. It is finally fitting well and looks great, but the hood still does not close properly. I read somewhere (can't remember where ) that an adjustment can be made to the hood latch. Does anyone know how to make this adjustment? Please, anyone?

I spoke to the Rep at carbras.com and was informed that they no longer carried the crawler style VW bra. Maybe they no longer have it for my year (99) but still make it for new models like yours. They carry another style, in any case.

Just as marvins dad said, slam it. There is no adjustment. I hate to close mine because I do have to slam it that hard. Don't dent it. Wish there was a better way.

Here's the way I do it:

Pull the hood down until you feel the gas strut give way (i.e the hood begins to fall). Hold the hood there for a second. Then, in one swift motion, lift up slightly on the hood and throw it down hard.

It takes some practice.
