Bixby GTG

One of the newer members of the Org family experienced her first gtg yesterday. Today she asked if we could plan another small gathering for sometime in September. This thread is open so anyone interested in coming can help plan the event. We are currently looking at a Saturday morning/afternoon cookout here at our little place in Bixby (just south of Tulsa).

We need to pick a date. I have obligations on the 18th so our options are the 4th, 11th and 25th. If anyone might be interested in a drive to northeastern Oklahoma for a simple feed and chat session let me hear from you.

eeeep. getting off on weekends is rough, but I'll ask to come in at 3 or 4 instead. I vote the 25th, just because Smashing Pumpkins is coming on the 24th and I'm totally gonna see them.

Llona says we can take care of the fixin's for hamburgers or brauts or anything anyone would prefer on the grill. Once we figure who all is going to try to come we can work out who wants to bring the other "stuff" like chips and such.

We'll work out the details once we hear from the folks who want to join in and a date. I hope to hear from Kathryn on the dates open on her calendar and hope to hear from Bobby Ferrill. I'm hoping he will be healed up from his recent surgery in time to join us for this gathering.

I'll try to get in touch with folks and we'll get the details worked out soon.

That makes 4 of us that like the 25th so I'm making it official. We will be having a very non-formal gtg all day at our place in Bixby. We don't have anything planned but visiting with friends, showing off our rides and eating. If anyone wants to throw a short cruise in I think I can work something out. If you have no plans for Sept 25th, load up the car and come see us.

This may be do-able for us. Will see if Tina can get off that Sat. I think I may be off from racing on the injured reserve list still. Tina sold her HHR yesterday so we may have a surprise by then. She has her eye on something already. Got the beetle running a couple days before my surgery It was fun to drive it again. Would like to meetup with the ole gang and see the new faces.

We've been busy running around the world lately and I am entering Gandalf in his first car show tomorrow. After that my schedule looks fairly open again. Anyone out there still planning on showing up for this gtg? I need to know how many hamburger buns to buy.

We'll be here all day so come on down when it's good for you. We have a grocery store a half mile away.
