Texas VW Classic-April 16-17

I'm not sure if I'm going need to save money for Roswell. I'm not going to alot of the local car shows in my area I may just show up but not enter

but I'm going to Fortworth one wouldn't miss that one!! just hope more beetles show up

Spent all weekend going over Marvin.
Reattached the spoiler.
Claybar'd the entire car.
Buffed out all the black and then went over the entire car with finisher and polish.
Interior - completely cleaned/vacuumed repaired some items and repainted his "plume" (need to remember to put it back in the car).
Trailer is ready for the haul, though it won't be making it to the show.

Heading out Friday and staying with the folks so I won't be there until the morning of the Show.

Who else is planning on making the trip?

Robert - what is your name on the org? Sorry I didn't get more of a chance to chat with you, saw you and your girl for a few seconds then looks like you guys were busy with the show.

I was a bit disappointed in the watercooled turnout. Love the guys that made it to the show though, would have been nice to have a few more new beetles show and also wish my RSI dreams would have been realized...but alas, I still have not seen an RSI in the flesh.

There were 3 New Beetles, a rockin' Jetta, Polo (nice to see) and a Jetta Wagon. There was also a Winabego (sp?) Eurovan with a VR6 and a 80's GTI/Vanogan with a V8 engine in the back - LOL...all seats had 5 point harnesses!

I took 1st, Pissant took second and Robert's girl (sorry, didn't get her name) took 3rd. I will start a picture thread later. There were some great looking aircooled - about 350+ cars showed. Was a little windy, but fun show.
