Thanks for the suggestion! Fred's has done a really good job for me in the past and I wound up taking my Beetle back there this week.
I had a pretty good experience with Chet's European Auto Care in Santa Clara: http://www.chetsautocare.com/ They did a good job for a reasonable price on mechanical stuff, but they threw their hands in the air when it came to fixing some less obvious electrical problems I was having. I was told to replace my ECU (very expensive) or wait until the problem got worse. A little frustrating, but still an overall OK experience. |
