Spotted NB's in Cali

I was in Cali for the past week and spotted a ton of Bugs. It really made me want one even more. I couldn't believe how many were out there.

Oh Yeah. I am in Hollywood. I have only owned my NB for 10 months and I noticed before I got her that there were outrageous amounts of them on the street. It's nice to see so many, but I see so many NEWER ones I'd love to have!

We are all over the place here you just have to find the people who are enthusiasts, there are a few within minutes/hours of each other

SLUG BUG!! One of the funnest things about owning my NB is watching people see my car and then, as fast as they can, turn and slug their brother, sister, dad, mom,....dog, and say SLUG BUG! I don't think that will ever get old (to me anyway)

Well my dad is working out there, he's working in Anaheim. About 10 minutes from Disneyland. So my mom and I went to visit him. We were there for a week. I had a rental and was hoping for a Bug, but they didn't have any to rent, and none of my car either. So I was stuck w/ a Dodge Caliber at first. I hated that so traded it in for a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. It wasn't bad, but I'm not used to a conventional auto that shifts gears. I love my CVT transmission for the fact that you don't ever feel it shifting through the gears, it's such a smooth ride.

I brought my small digital camera with me (Canon). I have a nice bigger Canon at home, but I like to tote around the small one in my purse. I saw a ton of other bugs, but it's hard to take pics when your driving. So whenever my dad drove or we walked places I snapped pics.

It seems that Cali is big on modifying their cars. I even got to meet up w/ my fellow Versa enthusiasts. It was nice to finally meet some of the gang. Not all could attend as it was last minute, but I got to meet 3 of them.

You really need to get a nB- it so fits you and you posing in that pic proves it. Nice pic BTW

I really do want a NB Vert. I have a savings act set up just for one

Once the payments on my Versa are nearing the end, then I'll set out on a hunt for one. I would love one w/ a Turbo, but we'll see whats out on the market at that time. Then I'll own two vehicles. One for the summer and one for the winter.

Cali was great The weather was not the best. Kind of chilly actually. But no humidity is wonderful. And we got to go out to dinner every night w/ my dad when he was done work. He's still there working.

You really, really need to get into a New Beetle. You've got the N.B.A.D. - bad!
