Going to Bugorama

I've decided to attend Bugorama this year at Sac Raceway. If anybody else is going on the Saturday it would be nice if we could park together on the paddock.

Paddock? Which area is that?

Well it's been a few years since I was there so maybe things have changed. When you get to the gate they herd you into a field where you park (hot, dusty, dirty and filled with hay) and then walk into the main event area. However, for an additional $10 you can drive into the main event area and park on the tarmac with all the other spectators. This is where you'll find corrals, car clubs, the car show, etc. Frankly, it's worth the extra just to keep the car clean.

I would really love it if we could get a decent group together. As you know, Bugorama is mostly, if not all, older Beetles...we need to make sure our group is well represented!

Are you guys going May 29, 2011 or Sept 4, 2011? Both dates are Sacramento so just wanted to check.

We might go. Went last year and had fun...

I'm a definite for May. September can be brutally hot out there, but if we can get enough NBs to start showing up I would certainly be game for September too. For those of us that are going in May, we'll need to figure out how to find one another in the paddock so we don't park all over the place.
