My daughters 2007 New Beetle has some made in Taiwan headlight housings. The projector beam cutoff is poor and there are hot and dull spots. Which companies make decent aftermarket projector headlights?
I’ve used Depo on my Audi with good results.

I haven't used aftermarket versions much; I think, one set, I installed, was by the company "eagle eyes" and they seem, ok quality but defintiely, not oem. Oem, from what I have seen; are Bosch or Hella. I think, you can buy those brands, as a oem part without having to buy them from your VW dealer.

After installing the cheap aftermarket types; I would almost, rather restore a used set of genuine vw assembly, if broken or use a 3M headlight restore kit, for dull or sun damaged clear plastics. I think, many times; oem, is better then aftermarket, again, feedback might prove otherwise.

Brighter bulbs, do seem to make a difference; hopefully, someone can chime in and provide recommendations, for better bulbs and a good set of head light assemblies.

Bosch:

RockAuto: TYC, DEPO, etc.

I cleaned mine up and buffed them out with some old plastic x I had from years ago. They work and look better. Does anyone make some dark or tinted ones? I bought some for my expedition a couple years ago and they work great. I can't find anything similar for my 2001 bug
